Why do you work for Realm of Caring?
In short - there is no other place like it. RoC aligns with my heart’s purpose and supports my personal/spiritual development. It is an honor and rare privilege to provide options to those suffering with life-limiting conditions and collaborating with a team of talented, intelligent, heart-centered individuals.

    What are you passionate about?
Celebrating life in its full expression.

    Hobbies/out of work activities:
I am a relentless gardener, a motivated thrifter, a passionate salsa dancer, a heart-centric writer, a thoughtful listener, a “good” food appreciator and creator, a promoter of healthy living, an ardent purveyor of light and good vibes.

Tell us about your prop/pose in your funky fun photo
Ah.. well, it’s all about the HEART for me. As much as I enjoy my shoes, LOVE is the only thing we take with us once we leave this earth (I’m speculating), therefore, very much in my center.

Why do you work for Realm of Caring?
I work for Realm of Caring because our mission aligns with my soul's purpose. It gives me such pleasure to start and end my day knowing that I have touched someone’s life in a positive way and in such a selfless manner. It is a honor to be a part of such a wonderful organization that provides hope, encouragement, research, education, and quality of life for all.

    What are you passionate about?
I am passionate about valuing the little joys in life and obtaining and maintaining radiant positivity. It could possibly be called a passion for optimism, but it's mainly just not letting the mistakes define your day or who you are as a human being. Positivity is contagious and it begins with a person choosing to look at the good side. I choose to be happy. I am passionate about spreading JOY! I believe being positive has a trickle-down effect on the people around me which leads to many jokes and smiles. There is a lot of chaos going on around us constantly and I feel like it's important to take a second and appreciate the little things that make us happy!

    Hobbies/out of work activities:
My blog novadojah.com, crystal healing, reiki, yoga, mindfulness, meditation, acrylic painting (Bob Ross style), and hiking beautiful Colorado mountain landscapes.

Tell us about your prop/pose in your funky fun photo:
I love crystals! I chose Amethyst for my photo. Crystals operate by naturally focusing and magnifying the body’s innate energies, which dissipate and equalize mental, emotional, and psychic stress. The results can be an elevated quality of life in all areas, including personal growth and optimum health. I also chose my singing bowl because I use this instrument during my meditation practices. I utilize all types of alternative methods of healing, but these two items represent me the best!

Why do you work for Realm of Caring?
I work for The RoC because this is what I was meant to do. I love to help people, and the families & individuals we help are amazing, inspiring, wonderful people. In addition, to be part of such a close-knit, caring team as The RoC Tribe is a special perk you just cannot find anywhere else. #MoreThanAJob

    What are you passionate about?
In a sometimes very dim, dark world, I’m passionate about overcoming obstacles to not only shine as bright as I possibly can, but also to help everyone else around me shine their very brightest as well. Whether it be through educating about the many benefits of cannabinoid therapy, sharing one’s knowledge of something they’re passionate about, or just cracking a goofy joke, giving a random compliment, bright smile or high five as you walk by - the smallest effort can super brighten someone’s day! Shine on, happy people - SHINE ON!!! =D

    Hobbies/out of work activities:
Outside of work I’m a wife, mom & homeschooler of two crazy and wonderful kiddos. I’ve done some local modeling, internet talk shows and pose-coaching. I just really adore talking and sharing experiences with friends, new and old. As a family we enjoy hiking, bowling, reading, learning, playing, and attending pinup events in vintage dress.

Tell us about your prop/pose in your funky fun photo:
Speaking of vintage… my prop is a treasure I found at a local thrift store (did someone say thrifting?? Count me in! ;) ) and I thought it would be fun to show my pinup side and include a fun, dated headset in my photo that represented what we do in The Call Center at The RoC so well. =)

“Hello! You’ve reached Kris at The Realm of Caring Foundation; how may I help you today?” ;)

Why do you work for Realm of Caring?
After a lengthy search, Realm of Caring was the place to use the knowledge I have acquired about using cannabinoid therapies. After volunteering at the Realm for several months I knew it was the right place for me to be. The professional, compassionate, and researched based approach used here is a great way to help people learn about cannabis and using it to help with a variety of concerns.

    What are you passionate about?
    Health, fitness, family, and cannabis.

    Hobbies/out of work activities:
Hiking, camping, travel, reading, and research.

Tell us about your prop/pose in your funky fun photo:
I am an advocate for a plant-based diet. Hippocrates said, “Let food be thy medicine”.
I live my life focused on that concept. Food, exercise, meditation, and cannabis are the tools in my toolbox.

I am very passionate about the power of the mind. I enjoy writing about consciousness and how it can transform our reality.

    Hobbies/out of work activities:
I practice yoga and different types of meditation. I also enjoy hiking and swinging on my hammock pondering about life.

My prop is the word BELIEVE. I chose this because I believe that we can transform our lives by using the power of belief.

Why do you work for Realm of Caring?
I founded and continue to lead this amazing team because I know what families are experiencing. We lived the same way: suffering, out of options, no information and exhausted. Knowing RoC can be a guide through the difficult times makes meaning of Zaki's almost decade of hell.

    What are you passionate about?
I am passionate about a lot of things. The sovereignty of choice and personal freedom. I am passionate about the flora kingdom. Not just cannabis and hemp, but all plant life and the benefits of plants. I am passionate about grief. That is an odd one, I know- but doing what I do for a living has opened up my heart and the needed perspective shift of embracing grief and the uncomfortable situations. They are a part of this glorious life and death. Grief is praise.

    Hobbies/out of work activities:
I am a voracious reader. You will find me curled up with a good book, listening to an audiobook, or maybe I should take a stab at writing one? My favorite thing to do is putz around in the yard and garden and collect my chicken eggs. Camping in the mountains is my zen. Pretty much anything outside. I enjoy scrapbooking but no longer sit still long enough to do it. Oh, and feeding people. I love to cook!

Tell us about your prop/pose in your funky fun photo:
I chose my prop because I think there is no greater superpower than LOVE. I may be idealistic but I think LOVE never fails. LOVE and experiencing what I call the collective (community) is what this life is all about. Love does. Love wins. Just LOVE.

Why do you work for Realm of Caring?
After over 10 years as a Chiropractor, and over 20 years in all levels of sales, I needed a shift from “what” I was doing to “WHY” I do what I do. Now it’s all about people’s health, well-being, and optimal quality of life. I LOVE what I do and why I do it, and the old saying is so true; “When you love what you do, it isn’t work.”

    What are you passionate about?
Making a first-hand impact in people’s health, and therefore their life. And the life of their families, friends, and co-workers. I’m passionate about life, and each of us being able to live the life we were “gifted” to live to the fullest.

    Hobbies/out of work activities:
I love hanging out with my wife, son and two dogs, and going to the lake to visit my daughter and soon to be son-in-law. We are HUGE fans of water, so whenever possible you’ll find us at the pool, lake, and as often as we can get there, the beach! If the family is busy with something that doesn’t involve me directly, you’ll most likely find me on a golf course.

Why do you work for Realm of Caring?
I love working for the RoC because I get to help people improve their quality of life with an all-natural therapy. My goal is to legalize access to everyone in the world who needs it! And we can only do that by conducting research and educating the public about its potential benefits.

    What are you passionate about?
I’m passionate about health and helping people. There is so much research that needs to be done. We are about 100 years behind on exploring the potential of this amazing plant. There are many other natural compounds I'm excited to explore as well, including terpenes, adaptogens, pro/prebiotics (gut-mind connection), omega fat ratios, and antioxidants.

    Hobbies/out of work activities:
I like to research science, politics, philosophy, and the nature of the world. I develop my own sports analytics for NCAA men’s basketball and the NFL. I love the card game Dominion. I try to stay active playing sports and hiking in beautiful CO.

Tell us about your prop/pose in your funky fun photo:
I am huge into superfoods, including the amazing hemp heart. I plan to consume enough superfoods and super compounds to live in good health much longer than average. For my 100th birthday, we are all going to climb Pikes Peak. For my 200th birthday, I should be in good enough shape to beat my time.

Why do you work for Realm of Caring?
This is my ultimate dream job. Educating the public about cannabis medicine on a worldwide scale is what I’m supposed to be doing on this Earth. Allowing myself to be creative while helping others is the #bestjobever!

    What are you passionate about?
Health, education, and cannabis. I truly believe that our bodies have the abilities to heal themselves as long as we are given the right tools. I’m so passionate about this that I started my own health and wellness company, Vibrant Health Clinic, when I was 27. Offering holistic health practices and employing physicians who are knowledgeable in cannabis medicine, giving people the tools to achieve vibrant health.

    Hobbies/outside of work activities:
I enjoy anything outdoors. Last year I moved to the mountains and live in the middle of the woods, quiet and secluded with hiking trails all around. I also enjoy yoga and meditation and exercises to stay grounded and rise above all the human “junk”. Hammock time is my favorite time, spending time with my fur babies (two dogs and two cats, 3 of which found me), and I love to travel to new places and explore!

Tell us about your pose/prop in your funky fun photo:
I love pineapples, they remind me of myself. Tough and prickly on the outside and sweet and juicy on the inside. They also host a variety of health benefits including bromelain. I consider myself to be a hospitable person, always making others feel comfortable. In the Caribbean, the pineapple is a colorful display of hospitality.

Why do you work for Realm of Caring?
I am interested in contributing to cannabis education and research and more importantly, bridging the gap that exists between experts and novice learners. I feel passionate, innovative, and committed about the RoC’s mindset and mission; my professional skills in curriculum and instruction serve a broader purpose, supporting the necessary initiatives to educate and advocate for families worldwide.

    What are you passionate about?
Making an impact and contributing to cannabis education initiatives. Improving our quality of life and health. Crafting curriculum and developing innovative, progressive, student-centered instruction. Using research and evidence-based information to drive education.

    Hobbies/out of work activities:
Spending time with my family, friends, husband, and two dogs. Traveling abroad, everywhere and anywhere. Learning new things like Spanish, xeriscaping, and DIY gardening projects. Everything culinary, golfing, hiking, watching new movies, and playing with my dogs.

Tell us about your prop/pose in your funky fun photo:
As Wonder Woman once said, “And now I know, that only love can truly save the world, so I stay, I fight, and I give… for the world I know can be. This is my mission, now. Forever.” I continue to be inspired by strong women figures that carve out a meaningful path and purpose. I am interested in disrupting the status quo with quality education and contributing to this evolving body of knowledge.

Why do you work for Realm of Caring?
I found my way to RoC in 2014 as a client when we moved from Maine to Colorado to treat my daughter Addelyn with cannabis. It was the best decision of my life. Addy got a second chance to THRIVE, and her momma found her career calling.

    What are you passionate about?
These days, I spend my time working on projects to make the world a better place. Sometimes they are big ones (like our last fundraiser!), and other times small (making a meal for a friend who needs some extra love), but always with the goal of spreading positive energy and love in mind.

    Hobbies/out of work activities:
Outside of work, I love exploring (and recharging!) in nature and learning with my family. Our family plans to visit all 58 National Parks across the country. As of our last count, we've got 51 more great vacations to plan! In my photo, you will see the cutest (and smartest!) puppy ever! Willow is a Giant Schnauzer puppy and Addy's service dog in training. She is currently being owner-trained by our family and Guardian Service Dogs to provide seizure alert, mobility support, physical therapy assistance, item retrieval, and many other tasks to improve Addy's independence and quality of life. At only 4 months, Willow has already proven to be a blessing to all of us.

Why do you work for Realm of Caring?
I have accepted this place of adventure to enjoy teaching at every moment of the day.

    What are you passionate about?
Passion - is a feeling of intense enthusiasm towards or compelling desire for someone or something. Passion can range from eager interest in or admiration for an idea, proposal, or cause; to enthusiastic. I was looking for something rewarding, varied, interesting, and at times, challenging and demanding, so working with children was for me! Whatever role or route people might choose, you can be certain that no two days will be the same, as you support minds to explore, experience, and develop an understanding of the world around them.

    Hobbies/out of work activities:
I love fishing, camping, spending time with my nephew, and learning new things!!

Tell us about your prop in your funky fun photo:
I chose a red sweater and a yellow sweater because through the years I have become wiser than my age can explain. Also, it's very cold in our building and I prefer to be warm! 😉
