In 2016...

Linnette: What made an impact for me this year was Argentina. Last year Hemp or any product derived from the Cannabis plant was not permitted and now, this year, it is not only permitted to be imported, but also the Argentina government pays for the product so people who can't afford it, can have it! A lot of moms and people in need in Argentina fought hard to be able to access Charlotte's Web and they were successful! It was very nice to see how when people get together and fight for the same cause(s), there is change. I am glad to know Realm of Caring was part of that change. :-)

Kris: I loved the response I got from the community, especially the small business owners I spoke to regarding sponsoring the Run. It seemed like everyone I spoke to knew someone who could benefit from Cannabinoid Therapy and the open-minded attitude and acceptance in our community was inspiring and heart-warming. Minds and hearts are changing when it comes to cannabis and I feel very privileged to see this change, oftentimes firsthand. =) =) =)

Jasmin: A Client has reached out to me over the phone and the first thing he said was "What the heck is in that marys patch? I haven't slept so good in 7 YEARS, because I suffer from PTSD that causes insomnia, anxiety, depression and therefore my mind does not know how to shut off, down or just RELAX! Why hasn't anybody told me about this stuff?" I was so happy to take his call and explain how cannabinoids work in the ECS. By the end of the of the call he was ready to share his story with friends and family, the whole world, if he had their numbers!

Meagan: In 2016, there have been SO many wonderful things happening at RoC, it's hard to highlight just one moment that made my heart sing. One of the most powerful things I've been able to be a part of was Eugene Monroe's visit to Realm of Caring. Eugene is a professional football player that visited with some of our families at the office to learn more about the research we are conducting with John's Hopkin's University to determine the effect of cannabidiol on CTE, a condition suffered by many professional athletes as a result of repeated head trauma on the field. Watching Eugene love on our children and see how deeply their journeys with cannabis have impacted him, was exceptionally moving for me as a parent. We are not alone. That day, Eugene graciously pledged to fund the entire research campaign.

Sam: Having a family drive down from northern Colorado to visit us. Their daughter has done extremely well with CBD therapy, going seizure free for several years, allowing the entire family to enjoy life to the fullest. They brought their infant daughter and called us "heroes" for what we do. It was incredible to see the impact we have on some families.

John: The most impactful moment of 2016, for me, was when one of my closest clients passed away. It made me realize the utter seriousness of the situations we deal with, as well as the dire and immutable consequences that those with serious medical conditions face in their day to day lives. Tomorrow is never promised.

Lacie: Daniel and I were going through a really hard time with the suicide attempt of his mother and the life-shattering Huntington's diagnosis that we received. We had to take emergency leave for a couple of weeks to Missouri and even coming back to work was a very hard transition for me. I was greeted by the team with warm hugs and gentle and assuring conversation. We were given a delicious pot pie that Meagan made for us as well as much needed financial support. They fact that I became a client over night gave me the perspective of just how important we are and how we are impacting mankind in such a positive and powerful way. I love RoC and I am so glad to contribute and be a part of the team.
